Judge.me is the best-value product review app on Shopify in 2026: a forever-free plan with unlimited reviews, photos and videos, plus a single paid plan at $15 a month that never scales with your order volume. It is the right default for most stores that need reviews on their product pages. It is not built to pick the channel that reaches each customer, or to send happy buyers to Trustpilot or Google, so stores that care about brand-level reputation usually pair it with a collection tool.
Verdict: install it, then decide what to add. Judge.me holds a 5.0 rating from 47,950 merchant reviews on the Shopify App Store, carries the Built for Shopify badge, and costs either $0 or $15 a month with no order caps. Free covers unlimited product and store reviews, photo and video reviews, the review widget, carousels and Google rich snippets. Awesome adds Q&A, coupons, Google Shopping, the full integration catalogue and deeper customization. The limits are about channels and routing, not price: requests are email-first and every review lands in the same on-site flow. Every number below was checked on 4 October 2026.

What Judge.me is
Judge.me is a product review app built for Shopify. It emails your customers after an order, collects their star rating, text, photos and videos, and displays the result in widgets on your product pages. It launched on the Shopify App Store on June 25, 2015, and it is now the most reviewed app in the category by a wide margin: 47,950 merchant reviews, 98 percent of them five stars, according to its App Store listing. The company says it powers more than 768,000 online merchants.

Two things explain that position. The first is the free plan, which is a real product instead of a trial. The second is the pricing promise. On its pricing page Judge.me writes: "$15 per month is the most you can ever pay us." For a store owner who has watched other review apps reprice as orders grow, that sentence does a lot of selling.
Judge.me pricing in 2026
There are two plans. That is the whole price list.
| Plan | Price | What the App Store listing includes |
|---|---|---|
| Forever Free | $0 | Unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, review widget and star rating badge, video, cards and testimonial carousels, Google reviews sync and rich snippets, trust badge and medals, sync with Shop App, Etsy and Amazon, reviews importer and AliExpress sync |
| Awesome | $15 per month, 15-day free trial | AI replies, summaries and translations, 130+ integrations including Klaviyo and Gorgias, 16 widgets including snippets, Q&A and a reviews page, advanced collection such as automatic reminders, coupons and referrals, Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok Shop sync, full widget and email customization with CSS |

Charges are billed in USD through your Shopify invoice every 30 days. There is no order-based tier, no per-request fee and no annual contract in the listing. That makes the cost comparison with the rest of the category lopsided. At 1,000 orders a month, Judge.me still costs $15, while Okendo lists $119, Stamped lists $99 and Yotpo moves you to its Pro plan, listed at $269 at that volume.
What the Free plan really covers
The Free plan is enough to run reviews properly on a new or small store:
- Unlimited review requests and reviews. No cap on orders, products or published reviews.
- Photo and video reviews. Included, which is unusual at $0.
- Core display. The main review widget, the star rating badge under your product title, and three carousels for your homepage.
- Rich snippets. The markup that makes stars eligible to appear in Google results. If you want to understand what that markup contains, our review schema markup guide walks through it.
- Imports. A reviews importer, AliExpress sync, and sync with the Shop app, Etsy and Amazon.
- Google Business Profile sync. Judge.me can pull your Google reviews in and show them as store reviews. Its help center is clear about the trade-offs: the sync runs every 7 days, the reviews are marked as unverified, and unverified reviews lower the authenticity score behind your Judge.me medals.

What Awesome adds for $15
Awesome is where Judge.me becomes a complete review system:
- Q&A and a dedicated reviews page, plus the full set of 16 widgets.
- Coupons and referrals, so you can thank reviewers with a discount. Read the rules on offering discounts for reviews before you switch this on.
- Google Shopping. Judge.me is an approved Google review partner and sends your product ratings to Merchant Center. Its setup guide lists two conditions: a products feed already in Merchant Center, and at least 50 eligible product reviews.
- Integrations. The 130+ integrations, including Klaviyo and Gorgias, sit on this plan.
- Customization. Widget and email design, including custom CSS.
- AI features. Suggested replies, review summaries and translations.
If you are on the fence, the 15-day trial of Awesome costs nothing and tells you quickly whether you use the paid features.
Judge.me pros
The price is flat. Your review bill does not grow when your store does. That single fact removes the main reason merchants leave other review apps.
The free plan is a real plan. Unlimited requests, photos, videos and rich snippets at $0 is the most generous offer among the major apps we compared.
Merchant satisfaction is exceptional. A 5.0 average across 47,950 reviews is not noise. The App Store summary of those reviews highlights quick setup and fast live-chat support.
Migration is easy in both directions. Judge.me imports from Yotpo, Loox, Amazon, Etsy and other sources, and it exports your reviews as a CSV. If you are coming from Yotpo, we wrote a step-by-step guide to migrating from Yotpo to Judge.me.
It is officially vetted. The Built for Shopify badge means the app meets Shopify's standards for performance, design and integration, and Judge.me was a 2025 Build Award winner.
Judge.me cons and limits
None of these are deal breakers. They are the edges you should know before you rely on it for everything.
Requests are email-first. Judge.me sends its own review requests by email. Its documentation describes SMS and push notifications as running through other integrations, and WhatsApp is not among the collection methods on its listing. If your customers do not open email, your review rate will reflect that. Our benchmarks on the average review submission rate show how much the channel matters.
Sending through Klaviyo has trade-offs. You can hand review requests to a Klaviyo flow, but Judge.me's own guide lists what stops working when you do, including the in-email review form and SMS or push requests. We compare the two approaches in Klaviyo Reviews vs Judge.me.
Everyone gets the same public flow. A delighted customer and a frustrated one receive the same request and land on the same form. There is no step that asks how the order went first and offers an unhappy buyer a private way to reach you before they write publicly.
It is an on-site review tool. Judge.me fills your product pages. It can pull Google Business Profile reviews in, but in its help center we found no native flow that sends happy buyers out to Trustpilot or to your Google profile. That brand-level reputation, the one shoppers check when they search your store name, is a separate job. Our comparison of Trustpilot vs Judge.me explains why many stores run both.
The best features need Awesome. Q&A, Google Shopping, coupons and most integrations are paid. At $15 this is a mild complaint, but the Free plan is not the full product.
Is Judge.me legit?
Yes. Judge.me has been on the Shopify App Store since 2015, holds the Built for Shopify badge, and bills through Shopify's own invoicing. For merchants, the legitimacy question is settled.
Shoppers ask a different version of the question: can I trust reviews that carry the Judge.me logo? A review marked as verified was submitted through a request tied to a real order. Merchants do keep the ability to moderate what they publish, which is why Judge.me also issues public medals that grade a store on authenticity and transparency. A store with a high transparency medal is publishing its reviews, good and bad. As with any review platform, read the distribution and the recent reviews, not only the average.
Who should use Judge.me

Where Reviewz fits next to Judge.me
Reviewz does not replace Judge.me. Judge.me is where product reviews live on your store. Reviewz is the layer that decides how each customer is asked and where their review goes.
After an order, Reviewz asks every customer for a rating over WhatsApp, SMS and email. Customers who answer 4 or 5 stars are sent to the public site you choose, which can be Judge.me, Trustpilot or Google. Everyone else is offered a private feedback form, so you hear about the problem directly and can fix it. More than 350 Shopify stores use it, and it has collected over 300,000 reviews.
It is free to start. The Starter plan is $59 a month for up to 250 orders, Growth is $119 and Unlimited is $299, all on the pricing page. If email alone already gives you the review volume you want, you do not need it. If it does not, the head-to-head in Reviewz vs Judge.me shows how the two work together.

Keep Judge.me on your product pages. Let Reviewz ask every customer over WhatsApp, SMS and email.
